You’ll co-design each day with your participant, create activities they’re excited about, and help them get the absolute most out of their services . From one-on-one support to our buzzing Day Programs.
You’ll keep parents/guardians and allied health in the loop with clear, purposeful handovers that keep everyone moving towards the next goal.
You’re never alone in your role. Senior Support Workers will:
Welcome you with a hands-on onboarding experience
Guide you through session planning and creative problem-solving
Review your notes, celebrate your wins, and help you refine your approach
Give regular, practical feedback that grows your confidence and skills
Our Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Speech Pathologists offer more than therapy plans, they give you practical, real-world guidance you can use straight away.
You’ll learn how to:
Apply communication supports from speech therapy
Put OT strategies into action for routines, independence, and life skills
Support safe, enjoyable movement programs from physio and EP
Share your observations so we can adapt and improve together
You’ll also get to attend allied-health–run workshops so you can keep building your skills and your toolkit.
Support with personal care (showering, grooming, continence, dressing)
Encourage independence through skill-building meal prep and mealtime support
Turn light domestic tasks (laundry, tidying) into practical learning moments
Plan and lead activities your participant truly loves — coffee outings, gym sessions, art projects, market trips, sports, cooking, library visits, transport training
Build life skills like money handling, using timetables, creating shopping lists, and developing social confidence
Join in Day Programs that bring people together for life skills, fitness, and creative workshops. all with a sense of purpose and fun
Put allied-health advice into practice: communication aids, structured routines, exercise programs, and environmental setup
Share what worked, what needs adjusting, and what’s next with your Senior Support Worker and allied health team
Write clear, upbeat progress notes that show how micro and macro goals are being achieved
Provide targeted handovers to parents/guardians and allied health so everyone’s on the same page
Follow therapy plans; use calm, effective de-escalation strategies
Support medication routines (if applicable)
Always uphold NDIS Practice Standards, boundaries, privacy, and infection control
Be consistent and reliable with rosters

Tackling an extra bus stop alone for the first time
Macro milestones:
Signing the lease and moving into a first home
Communicating needs clearly at a GP appointment with a speech aid

Organised and adaptable — you plan ahead but can pivot in the moment
Open to mentorship from Senior Support Workers and guidance from allied health professionals
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
First Aid & CPR
Driver’s licence + reliable vehicle
COVID-19 vaccination compliance
WWCC (if applicable)
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services
Experience in disability, aged care, or community support

We are eagerly seeking an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
We have a clinic based in Blacktown Westpoint but your role will involve visiting clients in the community and working within our office.
As our Occupational Therapist focusing on disability support, you will:

Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy, fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
