Meta Healthcare Blacktown
Gym access support can assist a participant who needs disability-related help to take part in exercise. Meta Healthcare can provide suitable prompting, supervision or one-to-one assistance where this is included in the participant’s plan.
sessions are arranged in a suitable gym, fitness or community setting after we confirm the disability-related assistance a support worker will provide, accessibility needs, entry arrangements and current availability.
Agreed fitness setting in Blacktown
Some participants can pay for a standard gym membership but need a support worker to enter the environment, communicate with staff, follow a routine or use equipment safely. We agree on the role of the support person before sessions begin.
Busy environments, unfamiliar equipment and multi-step instructions can create barriers. A consistent support person can help a participant understand the space, follow an agreed plan and communicate when they need a break.
Support workers do not provide clinical exercise prescription unless appropriately qualified for that separate service. Where a therapist has created a program, the support worker’s role can be agreed around helping the participant follow it.
Planning around real Blacktown travel and access needs can make a local fitness setting feel more predictable and easier to use consistently.
Every participant’s service agreement is different. These are examples of support that may be included after we understand your goals, needs and available funding.

We discuss travel, sensory needs, communication, equipment, pacing and who is responsible for membership or entry fees. Meta Healthcare only confirms a booking after the participant understands the provider’s role, the service cost and what their NDIS funding may cover.
We use a participant-first approach: you help choose the priorities, the people involved and the setting that feels most useful. Support Coordinators and Plan Managers are welcome to contact us with the participant’s consent.
The NDIS does not fund ordinary gym memberships because they are a day-to-day cost. It may fund a support worker when the participant needs disability-related assistance to pursue a goal in a gym and that support meets the NDIS funding criteria and is included in the plan.
Ordinary membership and entry fees are not NDIS-funded. Meta Healthcare may have separate access arrangements with participating fitness partners; locations, eligibility, availability and conditions can change, so we confirm the current terms when you enquire.
Meta Healthcare can explain its service and pricing, but the NDIA decides what is funded. Please check the current plan and official NDIS guidance for your circumstances.
